Applicants must meet certain requirements in order to participate in the housing programs of the Vernon Housing Authority. Please refer to this page for family income limits. For more specific and complete information about the requirements of each program, please contact us.

Income Limits

The income limits below are set by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development. The amounts listed are gross, annual income limits. To participate in a State of CT subsidized housing program, applicants must also be able to meet base rent requirements as determined by the Vernon Housing Authority.

The waiting list for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program is currently CLOSED. However, we are accepting applications for the Public Housing Program and the Pitkat Congregate Living Center. Please review the details of each program to see if you or your family qualify. Be advised that all housing sites under the Vernon Housing Authority are subject to a waiting list at this time.
